Darlington Literary is a literary organisation with a difference. Its sole focus is championing new, underrepresented writers through outreach events, training with industry professionals and a Novel Award for exceptional new voices.

Our aim is to empower authors who may not have found their voice on a traditional publishing path.

With a diverse team that has worked in the Top 5 publishing houses in the UK, we know first-hand that the publishing industry needs a shake-up, and we believe we have the expertise, experience and tenacity to make it happen.

With our annual award, The Alice Darlington Novel Award, our outreach events and training courses, we aim to nurture talent at every step of their publishing journey, equipping writers with the tools to climb the publishing ladder.
